Flowers from the Garden

I am immensely keen that throughout the year there should be flowers and greenery to pick for the house. Scented daphne and winter box in the cold dark months, snowdrops, daffodils and cherry blossom in the early spring, tulips in tulip time, especially for us Dutch! roses and peonies and delphiniums in the summer, but let there be lots, an abundance!

Even in a small garden it is possible to pick all year round, and light up your rooms. Have what you love! Grow what you want! You will enjoy them in a vase the more because you have grown them, and the garden has an added purpose and thrill. And your abundance will be an economy!
