Following the house renovations, the brief for this garden was for a very beautiful English, soft, delicate and feminine feel, with whites, creams, pale pinks and much autumn and winter colour too. Always interest and surprises.
There was to be a lawn for a keen footballer, an interesting pond, and we wanted to make the most of the old walls and trees that were there, which luckily included an old walnut and mulberry. Bulbs were planted for winter, spring and early summer, and a particular and varied collection of snowdrops beginning at Christmas time.
It is a rose garden, everywhere! We searched for the most lovely, fragrant, healthy and generous flowering roses we could find, shrub, climbing, rambling, we had them all! Tremendous fun and a great result, and we will keep adding!
